Закономерность, которая выражается в стремлении потребителя тратить все большую долю своего дополнительного дохода на предметы роскоши и все меньшую - на товары массового спроса. Иными словами, по мере роста доходов доля совокупных расходов на предметы первой необходимости снижается. См.
